Carleton Glen Golf Club

Summary

Carleton Glen Golf Club is a family owned golf-course that has been a staple in Carleton, Michigan for generations.

From the beginning, their main source of marketing consisted of direct-mail advertising. They had no online presence whatsoever.

In the summer of 2017 Carleton Glen reached out to Maestro Digital to build their first ever social media marketing campaign.

The Goal

To get new golfers to the course from surrounding cities that previously haven’t heard of this particular golf course.

The Strategy

Since Carleton Glen didn’t have much of an existing online presence. We immediately went to work and built out a Facebook Campaign from scratch.  The sequence was fairly simple, but very effective.

Here is the breakdown.

Hyper-targeted Facebook ad > Landing page (this is where the user inputs their name and email and downloads a coupon to come try out the course)  > User receives an automated email containing their coupon > User is added to mailing list for future marketing purposes.

The Results

The summer-long campaign ended with 689 users from surrounding cities downloading the coupon that they saw from the Facebook ad.

This resulted in a roughly 35% increase in business for Carleton Glen Golf Club as well as hundreds of new golfers coming to the course (with their friends and family) to enjoy an amazing game of golf.

A true win-win for everyone involved!
